Rector's Welcome

We meet every Sunday morning for worship in the historic Kemper Center chapel in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The traditional chapel faces East and is just a few yards from the shore of Lake Michigan. When the sun rises over the Lake we often get a beautiful reminder of what our church is about: we gather in thanks and praise because Christ's light has risen in our hearts, and because we want that same warmth and welcome to be shared by everyone in our Kenosha community.

Light of Christ is an Anglican church in the Great Tradition:  celebrating the Lord's sacraments, under the authority of His Scriptures, and in the power of His Holy Spirit. Planted beside these waters of Scripture, Sacrament and Spirit, we come together every Sunday to meet Jesus, the "Morning Sun that knows no setting," as one ancient hymn sings it.

We are a new church, of young and old, of families and a few singles, of people with deep needs and great God-given creativity. Many of us have walked through the shadows of life. Many of us can also speak of wonderful ways that Christ's Light has scattered darkness.

Because we have been blessed and filled with His gracious light, we pray and work that His invitation be extended to many in the Kenosha area. We encourage you to join us for a visit, or more, as you are led by the Light of Christ.
